12 years after "Clouds Are Beautiful", Hide&Seek are back with a new album: in the same vein as their previous releases, "A Spring Idyl" combines coldwave and pop, this time with more electronic sounds. The male and female voices share lyrics that explore the beauty and melancholy of human relationships. The duo are backed up by a flautist who subtly adds colour to the cold sounds of guitars and synthesizers. Through its title and two songs, the album also pays tribute to Elizabeth Magie, born in 1866, a singular woman of progressive spirit, inventiveness and sensitivity.

Somewhere between coldwave and pop, Hide&Seek is a French-Dutch duo formed in 1993 by Pierre-Yves Lebeau and Liesbeth Houdijk. Their first album, Luxembourg, was released in 1999. The duo then teamed up with French label Cynfeirdd, who released European Landscapes in 2003, followed by Where Turtles Sleep (2007), Clouds Are Beautiful (2011) and A Spring Idyl (2023).
